Kavi the Elephant 🐘

A story about curiosity and home

In a quiet forest near a wide, slow river lived a young elephant named Kavi 🐘. Unlike the other elephants in his herd, Kavi was curious about everything. He asked questions about the wind, the stars, and even the tiny ants that marched across the forest floor.

One morning, Kavi wandered farther than he ever had before. As he walked, the trees grew taller and the forest grew darker. Soon he realized he could no longer hear the familiar sounds of his herd.

Kavi felt scared. The forest suddenly seemed very big, and he felt very small.

Just then, a tiny bird landed on a branch above him.

"Why do you look so worried?" the bird chirped.

"I can't find my family," Kavi said sadly.

The bird tilted its head. "I've seen a herd of elephants near the river bend. Follow me!"

The little bird flew from tree to tree, and Kavi followed as quickly as he could. After a while, he heard a sound that made his ears perk up—the deep, rumbling call of his mother.

Kavi ran forward and saw his herd waiting near the river. His mother wrapped her trunk around him gently.

"Where did you go, little explorer?" she asked.

Kavi smiled. "I was looking for answers… but I found my way back home."

From that day on, Kavi still explored the forest—but he always remembered that even the biggest adventures are better when you know where home is.
